A high-performing secondary school in Bromley is seeking an experienced School Operations Manager to join its business support team on a full-time, permanent basis from October Half Term 2026.
This is a broad and varied position suited to someone who enjoys coordinating people, processes and resources. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll help ensure the school's operational functions run efficiently while supporting a positive environment for both staff and students.
Overseeing day-to-day operational and administrative functions
Managing suppliers, contractors and service agreements
Supporting premises, facilities and health & safety processes
Coordinating operational budgets and expenditure
Reviewing systems and introducing process improvements
Supporting HR, recruitment and staff administration
Assisting with school events, projects and wider operational planning
Producing reports and information for senior leaders
The school has developed a strong reputation for academic achievement, high expectations and a supportive culture. Its business support team is an important part of the wider school community, with staff encouraged to take ownership, develop professionally and contribute to continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have experience in school operations, business management, facilities, office management or a similar senior support role.
You'll be highly organised, confident managing competing priorities and comfortable working with senior colleagues, suppliers and external organisations. Previous education experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.
£42,000 - £52,000 per annum
