Our client designs and manufactures corrugated packaging using materials with strong green credentials, making them one of the leading contributors in the fight against single-use plastics.

They are seeking a senior manager to oversee the company's operational functions. The goal is for the successful candidate to develop into a director role within the company and eventually become a shareholder. This position manages five direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring the company operates a safe operations function.
• Managing preventative maintenance and machinery development programs.
• Delivering ongoing manufacturing productivity improvements.
• Controlling and, as necessary, enhancing product quality.
• Adhering to the daily manufacturing plan to ensure on-time and complete deliveries.

Key Skills

• A driven and energetic approach to leading operations teams to implement change and improvement.
• Strong operations background with experience in a packaging manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of methodologies to deliver continuous improvement within a packaging manufacturing setting.
• Ability to engage with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

• Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and BRCGS Direct Food Standards is advantageous.
