About Team:

Join a global team of Systems Engineers dedicated to advancing DevOps practices and modern software delivery for products on AWS cloud infrastructure. We focus on driving operational excellence, automation, and cost efficiency to support products that make a meaningful impact on health outcomes worldwide. Our team collaborates across multiple time zones—primarily between the UK and US East Coast—working closely with stakeholders in Japan, Singapore, Europe, the US, and Canada.

About Role:

We are looking for an experienced and inclusive Operations Manager – DevOps to lead and support high-performing, globally distributed teams. In this role, you will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, align team efforts with strategic goals, and foster a collaborative and inclusive culture. You’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence, modern DevOps practices, and continuous improvement across our technology landscape.

Key Skills:

  • Experience managing cloud-based infrastructure, particularly in AWS.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
  • Proven ability to lead inclusive, globally distributed teams.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across diverse regions and cultures.
  • Experience working across time zones, particularly UK and US East.
  • Financial awareness in managing DevOps budgets and cloud cost optimization (FinOps).

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and supporting geographically dispersed DevOps teams, ensuring alignment with development squads and business goals.
  • Managing AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, security, resilience, and cost efficiency (FinOps).
  • Collaborating with global stakeholders across time zones to deliver consistent and effective outcomes.
  • Championing modern DevOps practices and fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning.
  • Promoting operational excellence through automation, process optimization, and sustainable infrastructure management.
  • Supporting team development through inclusive hiring, training, and mentoring in a psychologically safe environment.
  • Overseeing release management, cloud architecture, and security controls within AWS environments.
