Job summary

Orchid Healthcare Ltd. seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee luxury nursing and residential homes across Suffolk and Norfolk. You will ensure high-quality care, manage multiple sites, and drive financial performance in line with budgets.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a track record in care home operations. NVQ Level 5 or equivalent is required, and a valid NMC PIN is preferred.

Qualifications

• The Operations Manager will have strong financial management skills and knowledge of regulatory requirements in the care home sector.
• Experience leading multiple residential/nursing services with a focus on quality of care and financial performance.
• NVQ Level 5 or equivalent is required; NMC PIN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage care homes across the Suffolk and Norfolk region to ensure highest standards of care and service.
• Line manage Registered Home Managers and support regional leadership in strategic direction for the group.
• Identify training needs, provide coaching to senior staff, and drive continuous improvement in performance.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and monitor financial performance against budget.

Job Description:

• A permanent Operations Manager post has become available for a reputable, luxury nursing home provider for older people!
• Operations Manager to oversee homes across Suffolk and Norfolk
• Salary up to £65,000 per annum
• Excellent performance-related bonus

• Must hold NVQ level 5 or equivalent
• Proven experience in care home operations
• Reporting to Regional Operations Manager
• Prerably hold valid NMC PIN

Job requirements of the Operations Manager:

• The Operations Support Manager will primarily focus on managing the safe, effective delivery and performance of the organisation’s residential and nursing services. The post carries responsibility for varying tasks across a specified geographical Region to ensure care homes achieve the highest possible standards of care and service, whilst delivering financial performance in line with pre-agreed budget assumptions.
• The Operations Support Manager will line manage a number of Registered Home Managers and will work with the Regional Operations Manager to contribute to the strategic leadership and direction of nursing and care across the group.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, compliance, and regulatory requirements in the care home industry is a must
• Identify training needs for the managers to enhance their skills and knowledge. Provide ongoing support and mentoring to senior staff to ensure continuous improvement in their performance.
