Role: Operations Manager - Building Supplies

Location: On site, Based in the Bristol area

Sector: Building Materials / Construction Supplies / Timber Merchants

Package: £38,000 - £42,000

Working Hours: Monday - Friday

We are recruiting an Operations Manager for one of the leading building supplies companies. This role offers a great opportunity to bring your own ideas and processes to have a real impact on the depot's operations.

We seek a candidate with experience in a similar environment. Builders merchants experience is preferable but not essential. Experience as a Yard Manager or Transport Planner/Transport Manager would also be valuable.

Operations Manager Role & Responsibilities
  1. Manage day-to-day operations and identify process improvements.
  2. Ensure adherence to quality procedures and investigate non-conformities.
  3. Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed.
  4. Contribute to evaluating and developing operational strategies and performance metrics.
  5. Implement and review continuous improvement strategies.
  6. Manage a team effectively.
  7. Liaise with the Branch Director and management team to ensure efficient operations.
Key Skills & Experience
  1. Strong leadership, commitment, and organizational skills.
  2. Attention to detail and initiative to resolve daily issues.
  3. Proven management experience in the Supplies industry or Construction sector.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, positive, enthusiastic, driven, and capable of working under pressure to support the company's growth.
