Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager, you will be a member of the Senior Management Team and involved in the running of KOKI Group UK Ltd, the UK distributor of Metabo and HiKOKI power tools. You are individually responsible for the warehouse and service departments and will have a real opportunity to be involved with key decisions that will drive the organisation towards its growth targets.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the effective, efficient, safe, and clean operation (input, storage, and output) of the warehouse and service departments for both the Metabo and HiKOKI brands, influencing monthly sales targets.
2. Manage the warehouse team (five members) and service team (three members), including performance monitoring and development support.
3. Act as the Health & Safety Officer for both companies, ensuring high standards of health and safety.
4. Oversee main contracts affecting warehouse operations, including logistics, waste management, and recycling.
5. Manage relationships with third-party inventory storage providers.
6. Ensure inventory records' accuracy and meet periodic activity requirements of the finance IT system.
7. Previous experience of at least three years in a similar role.
8. IT literate with proficient use of WMS, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
9. Excellent communication skills with a professional manner, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and outsourced resources.
10. Strong commercial and business awareness.
11. Self-motivated with decision-making, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities.
12. Adaptable, proactive, and initiative-taker.
13. Tenacious, flexible, and a team player.
14. Robust problem-solving skills.

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous experience with Microsoft Navision.
