Main duties of the job
  • Lead the operational heartbeat of our Community Ultrasound Service across Suffolk, ensuring every administrative touchpoint delivers a high-quality, patient-focused experience.
  • Shape the clinic schedule by coordinating ultrasound appointments around staff availability, leave, and service demands keeping the service running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Be the go-to leader for our two Administration Teams, taking ownership of HR tasks and fostering a supportive, high-performing environment.
  • Represent the service with confidence, responding compassionately to patient enquiries and complaints, and acting as a trusted contact for GP practices and partner organisations.
  • Support strategic decision-making by preparing reports and insights for commissioners, working closely with the Service Manager to showcase service performance and value.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to contribute to the leadership of Suffolk GP Federations Community Ultrasound service across East Suffolk. We are looking for an Operations Manager to join this established community service, providing strong leadership and direction as we continue to increase the accessibility of ultrasound appointments for the region. The role will offer flexibility as the post holder blends site based and remote working, travelling around East Suffolk as the service demands.

You will join our Community Ultrasound service. We are a not-for-profit, community interest company and our main purpose is to support Primary Care across Suffolk, including support with working collaboratively and at scale.
