Job summary

JCB Cab Systems is seeking an Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations, owning Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People (SQDCP) performance while driving continuous improvement across the site.

You will collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance and senior leadership to deliver sustainable operational performance and develop high‑performing teams that thrive in a fast‑paced production environment.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years’ leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Proven track record delivering Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost targets.
• Experience leading Production, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams.
• Strong stakeholder management across operations, engineering, purchasing and senior leadership.

About the role:

As Operations Manager at JCB Cab Systems, you’ll play a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence across our manufacturing operations. You’ll take ownership of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People (SQDCP) performance, ensuring our operational targets are achieved while creating an environment where teams can thrive.

Working closely with colleagues across Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance and senior leadership, you’ll be responsible for bringing teams together, driving continuous improvement and delivering sustainable operational performance. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on both our people and our business results.

What does this role involve day to day?

• You’ll provide leadership and direction across all operational departments.
• You’ll drive the achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People (SQDCP) targets.
• You’ll develop and execute operational strategies that support business objectives and future growth.
• You’ll lead, coach and develop Production Managers, Group Leaders and teams across Production, Maintenance and Facilities.
• You’ll ensure resources and capacity are effectively planned to meet operational requirements.
• You’ll identify and deliver opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and overall operational performance.
• You’ll take ownership of continuous improvement programmes, embedding a culture of operational excellence.
• You’ll manage operational budgets and ensure effective cost control across the business.
• You’ll monitor performance through regular reporting, governance processes and operational reviews.
• You’ll collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Quality teams to ensure smooth operational delivery.
• You’ll lead change initiatives and support the continued development of a positive, high-performance culture.
• You’ll champion health, safety and quality standards across the operation.
• You’ll build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business to ensure alignment and successful delivery of business objectives.

This will be suited to you if…

• You’ll have at least 10 years’ leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• You’ve successfully delivered against Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost targets.
• You’ve led teams across Production, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality functions.
• You’re a confident leader who enjoys developing people and building high-performing teams.
• You’ve got a proven track record of delivering productivity improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• You’re comfortable managing complex operational challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• You have strong stakeholder management skills and can build effective relationships across operations, engineering, purchasing and senior leadership teams.
• You have experience leading organisational change and driving cultural improvement.
