Job summary

GSF Car Parts Limited is seeking an Operations Manager to lead warehouse activities and a delivery team in the North region. You will oversee goods in, goods out, returns, stock control, and KPI reporting, ensuring targets are met and service levels remain high.

You will mentor a team of warehouse operatives and drivers, optimise processes, and collaborate with the General Manager on weekly plans, holidays, and improvement initiatives to keep operations efficient and customer-focused.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a warehouse or field-based operations in a fast-paced environment (FMCG preferred).
• Proven ability to motivate and lead a team to meet productivity targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong planning and organisational skills to develop weekly plans and manage workloads.
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
• Customer and sales focus with a service-oriented mindset.
• Experience with MAM is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Goods In, Goods Out, Returns and Stock Control functions.
• Direct pick/load operations and ensure timely customer deliveries when required.
• Verify stock quantities against computer records and maintain accuracy.
• Develop effective solutions to operational challenges using initiative.
• Support branch manager with holidays, sickness cover, and weekly planning.
• Assist General Manager with PARC KPI reporting.
• Foster a positive environment where staff can grow and perform.

About The Role

Role: Operation Manager

location: Field Based covering the North

As Operations Manager at GSF Car Parts, you are responsible for motivating and leading a team of Warehouse Operatives and Delivery Drivers. AsOperations Manager, you will oversee the warehouse processes and systems in order to ensure goods arereceived and dispatched appropriately, and that productivity targets are met.

Main Duties include:

• Manage the organisation and performance to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Goods In, Goods Out, Returns and Stock Control departments
• Pick and load van / carrier accurately for timely customer delivery when required
• Check stock quantities are correct against computer
• Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles
• Ensure the operational functions of the Warehouse run smoothly and assist the branch manager with; holidays/sickness cover, preparing weekly plans, developing the warehouse team and work with Drivers to ensure the best delivery service for customers.
• Assist the General Manager with PARC report KPI's
• Create a positive and supportive environment where employees are valued and can reach their true potential

Working hours:

45 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working

About You

As Operations Manager, you will have a great track record of managing a warehouse, ideally gained within a fast-paced environment such as FMCG.
