Job summary

Sheffield City Council is seeking an Operations Manager to lead our in-house Day Services on a job-share basis (18 hours per week), supervising five venues and supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.

You will join the Provider Services team, shaping the service into a supported activities model while providing occasional management support to other services and taking part in the on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Lead the in-house Day Services across 5 venues to ensure high-quality care and outcomes.
• Manage the 18-hour job-share pattern and rota to provide consistent leadership.
• Support adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to access person-centred services and activities.
• Provide management support to other Provider Services and participate in on-call rota as required.

Sheffield City Council is seeking an Operations Manager to join our Provider Services team and lead our in-house Day services on a job-share basis (18 hours), supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. Our provision is also open to all adults with eligible social care needs. The current service includes 5 venues, each with a unique identity and purpose ranging from enablement, complex needs and PMLD. We are developing the service into a supported activities model and you would be expected to help shape and drive that change.

The successful candidate will possess experience in delivering quality services and change. We are looking for someone who brings energy, drive, and a passion for continuous improvement – both personally and within the team and service. As part of the Provider Services management team you will occasionally provide management support to our other services, including being part of the on-call rota.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
