An established industry player is seeking a Depot Operations Manager to lead a dynamic team in Scunthorpe. This role involves overseeing the performance and welfare of over 100 drivers while ensuring efficient and customer-focused operations. We’ve got an amazing operations team in Gainsborough and Scunthorpe who now need a Depot Operations Manager to support them to deliver an incredible service to our customers.
What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for the leadership, performance, development and welfare of over 100 drivers. You’ll be part of the team that plans and delivers a cost-effective and customer-centric day to day operation. Using your amazing interpersonal attributes, you’ll build relationships both internally and externally, developing effective connections with key stakeholders. You will ensure that we deliver a safe, punctual, high-quality service on the road whilst working closely and effectively with the Engineering Manager to ensure the overall success of the operation and you will report directly to the Operations Director.
Plus, there’s bag loads of personal satisfaction from contributing ideas towards the growth of our business, and most importantly creating a fantastic environment in which to work.
What you’ll need:
You will need to be a current Operations Manager ready for a new challenge and change of location or an Assistant Operations Manager looking to take that next step in your career, you will have a CPC Level 3 qualification, or be willing to work towards it and it is important that you are an effective communicator and confident leader of people. You’ll be leading a team in all operational matters, you will need a working knowledge of allocation systems, relevant legislation and we’ll need to see that you’re comfortable dealing with typical management scenarios. Strong communication skills are a must – you’ll be developing interpersonal relationships both internally and externally and will need to be able to engage with everyone.
