Overview

Operations Manager, Kent and South Coast.

Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week, 7.30am – 5pm.

Speedy Hire is looking for an Operations Manager to drive operational success, enhance customer satisfaction, and ensure top-tier safety and performance across our depots in the region.

Responsibilities
  • Maximising customer experience by ensuring high standards of service and operational excellence.
  • Asset management across the region, ensuring efficient sourcing and sharing of equipment.
  • Ownership of the full P&L for all depots within your region, driving cost-effective practices while boosting revenue.
  • Maintaining safety standards across depots and customer sites, fostering a safety-first culture in all aspects of operations.
  • Collaborating with area managers and the wider sales teams to drive new business opportunities, ensuring revenue targets are met and exceeded.
What Youll Need
  • Proven operational management experience of a large team across multiple sites
  • Be able to deliver sustained growth and profitability through operational effectiveness and service excellence regionally
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in full P&L management
  • Evidence of attained sales and profitability growth
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of logistics, operations and sales
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise work load and work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Excellent understanding and experience of managing Health and Safety practices at work
  • Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver.
  • Driving licence
