A well-established manufacturer in the Northamptonshire area is currently seeking an Operations Manager to join their team. The role involves leading the managerial team and implementing best practices on the shop floor.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be a strong communicator and a key advocate for engagement with internal stakeholders, the workforce, and external partners. You will champion quality, health & safety, people development, cost control, and delivery. Additionally, you will play a vital role in driving cultural change and fostering positive development within the production team.

Role Details
- Position: Operations Manager
- Salary: Up to £50,000 (dependent on experience) + bonus + benefits
- Location: Northamptonshire (commutable from Kettering, Northampton, Market Harborough, Rushden, Wellingborough, Corby, Oundle)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations using SQCDP review and implement improvements.
- Mentor and develop the team to foster a positive and nurturing environment.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of direct reports, promoting engagement and professional growth.
- Drive a strong health & safety culture on site.
- Collaborate with sales teams to meet revenue targets and identify market opportunities.
- Implement a culture of continuous process improvement.
Key Requirements
- Proven success in a senior management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Engineering qualification (Degree, HNC, HND).
- Formal NEBOSH/IOSH qualification or experience in health, safety, and environmental management in a regulated environment.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to build strong relationships with direct reports.
- Engagement and empowerment skills are essential for this role.
