Job description

Market Harborough Rugby Club is a successful rugby club with 4 senior mens and womens teams and a thriving mini and junior section. We all work together to ensure that all our members, customers and players are well looked after and have a great experience every year.

About The Role

We are looking to recruit an exceptional Club Operations Manager to join our team to manage the day to day running of the club house, facilities and grounds.

Reporting to the Chairperson, you will have overall responsibility for the bar, bar staff, facilities and the marketing and managing events.

Previous experience of working or managing a bar or club is preferred however training will be given to the right candidate.

Hours of work will be mainly evenings and weekends during the playing season (September – May) and will vary outside the playing season.

It is most important to have a flexible approach to work with a positive attitude.

An immediate start is available for the right applicant.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee the day to day running of the Club, facilities and grounds.

• Creating a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of Club facilities.

• Marketing and promotion to grow membership and hiring of Club for events.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulation within the club premises

• Ensure compliance with licencing laws and regulations

• Managing budgets and financial reporting.

• Handling customer complaints.

Pay:

• Circa £22,000

• Part time role

• Approximately 25hrs week

• 6 day week including weekends

Experience:

• Managing a bar or sports club (preferred)

• Working in the food and beverage industry (preferred)

• Driving Licence (essential)
