Job description

Operations Manager - Job Description

As the Operations Manager, you will be a key member of the Senior Management Team at KOKI Group UK Ltd, the UK distributor of Metabo and HiKOKI power tools. You will be responsible for overseeing the warehouse and service departments, playing a vital role in strategic decision-making to achieve the company's growth targets.

  1. Ensure the effective, efficient, safe, and clean operation (input, storage, and output) of the warehouse and service departments for both the Metabo and HiKOKI brands, directly influencing monthly sales targets.
  2. Manage the warehouse team (five members) and the service team (three members), including performance monitoring and supporting their development.
  3. Serve as the Health & Safety Officer for both companies, maintaining the highest safety standards.
  4. Oversee main contracts related to warehouse operations, including logistics, waste management, and recycling.
  5. Manage relationships with third-party inventory storage providers.
  6. Ensure inventory records are accurate and meet periodic activity requirements of the finance IT system.
  7. Require at least three years of experience in a similar role.
  8. Be IT literate, with proficient use of WMS, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  9. Possess excellent communication skills, a professional manner, and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and outsourced resources.
  10. Demonstrate strong commercial and business awareness.
  11. Be self-motivated with decision-making, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
  12. Be adaptable, proactive, and a team player with robust problem-solving skills.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Previous experience with Microsoft Navision.
