We are currently seeking an Installation Engineer based in London. In this role, you will be involved in both back-office setup and on-site installation and maintenance of our projects across the UK.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Overseeing the installation and implementation of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring systems, ensuring all consumables are available and standards are met.
2. Installing and uninstalling instrumentation according to construction drawings, specifications, and method statements, including working in hard-to-access environments; installing, programming, and commissioning data loggers and telemetry devices; maintaining records and ITPs.
3. Providing support for operating various geotechnical and structural monitoring instruments.
4. Performing routine maintenance and installation of instruments, potentially at height.
5. Assisting the Operations Manager with coordinating installations by third parties.
6. Ensuring all monitoring systems are fully functional and compliant, completing site documentation.
7. Managing small projects or sections of larger projects, ensuring they meet budgets, quality, and objectives.
8. Preparing site documentation per company and client requirements.
9. Communicating professionally with clients on-site and providing technical support and training.
10. Updating project folders with relevant information and attending site visits for new installations.
11. Assisting the Technical Team with research and trials of new sensors and platform enhancements.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience with installation and maintenance of geotechnical and structural instruments such as piezometers, inclinometers, extensometers, total stations, including supervision of drilling subcontractors.
• Interest in technology, IoT, connected objects, and digitalization of construction sites.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with project teams and clients effectively.
• A clear understanding of Uby's role and services in the industry.
• Flexibility to undertake additional duties as needed.
