Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading a team of nine staff providing effective delivery of Professional Services within BSEER, relating to: Human Resources, finance, facilities, space management, and IT. They will ensure that all operational support service functions are delivered efficiently, responsively, and professionally, supporting excellence in teaching, research, and enterprise.

This is a busy role in a fast-paced environment. The post holder must be efficient, organized, and attentive to detail. The role requires interaction with many internal and external stakeholders. A professional attitude, willingness to help, and a positive outlook are essential for executing the duties effectively.

This role is a permanent position, available from 1 September.

About you

You will have experience promoting and providing excellence in administration and support services. You will have a successful record of line management and staff development, with proven leadership and motivational skills. The ability to take initiative, make decisions with sound judgment, and excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and discretion, are essential. You should be comfortable liaising with staff and external contacts at all levels.
