We have an excellent opportunity for a Operations Manager within a charity that provides business support to young people in London by providing dedicated business coaches, workshops, one to one sessions, tailored business programmes, spaces to test trade from and business mentoring. This is a full-time role but our client is open to flexible working. A full job specification will be provided on application.

About the company
Our client transforms young lives through enterprise by offering holistic and personalised business guidance and support to in-need marginalised young entrepreneurs across London, aged 16 to 30 through workshops, programmes and 1:1 business coaching. They work in collaboration with young people to enable them to start their own business or move into employment or/and education and training. They aim to develop approaches that empower, support and encourage young people to build confidence, follow their aspirations and fulfil their potential.

About the role
This key role of Operations Manager is responsible and accountable to the CEO for:

  • The implementation and completion of the business and development of the centre and the charity, leading the operational staff to deliver against the strategic aims
  • Being expected to work with key internal and external stakeholders helping to shape the future direction of the organisation, ensuring that the operations are aligned with the service requirements of tenants and clients.

A major part of this role is also the development and effectuation of the strategic goal specific to becoming a community asset.

About the responsibilities
In the role of Operations Manager, duties include:

Project Management

  • Manage the planning, delivery, reporting and monitoring of all projects relating to the organisation
  • Have oversight of the management and growth of co-working spaces under the commercial arm
  • Providing quality management supporting the development and effectuation of the organisation as a community asset
  • Planning and scheduling maintenance works
  • Form partnerships with other organisations working with young
  • Preparing and managing budgets
  • Ensuring compliance with fire and H&S legislation
  • Update master lease documents, including lease agreements, statutory documents and notices
  • Build and maintain the organisation as a community asset through promotional business activities
  • Identify opportunities to partner with local businesses, organisations and clients

Charity Operations

  • Working with the People and Insights Manager to manage all HR processes
  • Working in collaboration with the Programme Manager to ensure robust risk management around safeguarding, health and safety and quality assurance processes are embedded across all our programmes
  • Refer clients and tenants to appropriate external agencies that are able to provide complementary support services

About the hours & rewards
For the role of Operations Manager, there is a salary on offer of £40,000 to £43,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include:
