A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experiencedOperations Managerto lead and support a group of high-performing care services across a designated region.Reporting to the Regional Director, you’ll play a key role in driving service excellence, operational performance, regulatory compliance, and strategic development. You’ll lead a portfolio of services that support children and adults with complex needs—making a meaningful impact in people’s lives every day.

This is a home-based role with regular travel across the region and the flexibility to work from a London base if preferred.

Location: Home-based/London-based with travel required
Type: Permanent
Salary: £52,000 per annum + £3,000 car allowance

Key Responsibilities
Quality & Governance

  • Drive services to achieve and maintain CQC/CIW ratings of Good or Outstanding
  • Oversee internal audits, service visits, and improvement plans
  • Effectively manage complaints, safeguarding, and regulatory issues
  • Champion best practice in care, training, and compliance
Financial & Commercial
  • Deliver on key performance indicators including staffing, occupancy, and EBITDA
  • Support budget management and cost reduction initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to grow and sustain services
Leadership & People Management
  • Directly manage and mentor a group of Registered Managers
  • Promote development, wellbeing, and succession planning
  • Foster a strong, values-driven leadership culture
Strategic Engagement
  • Contribute to regional strategy and service development
  • Build strong relationships with commissioners and partners
  • Represent the organisation in external forums and meetings
The Person
Proven experience in multi-site operational leadership
Strong background in regulated social care or healthcare
Excellent people and performance management skills
In-depth understanding of CQC or CIW compliance frameworks
Degree-qualified or equivalent experience
Willingness to travel and stay away from home as required
