Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: South and South East of England (with travel to various project sites)
Reports to: Senior Management

About the Role

As the Operations Manager at Kingsley Roofing Southern, you will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of both pitched and flat roofing projects. You will work closely with the pre-construction, project, and site teams, as well as subcontractors and various stakeholders, to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership and operational expertise will be essential in driving project success, optimising resource utilisation, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the pre-construction team to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring they align with client requirements and company objectives.
Efficiently allocate labour, equipment, and materials across multiple project sites to optimise resource use.
Implement and maintain stringent quality control processes to ensure all roofing projects meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices.
Oversee subcontractor selection, negotiation, and performance, ensuring timely, high-quality project delivery.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution, addressing inquiries, concerns, and managing change orders.
Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures to maximise profitability.
Lead, mentor, and develop project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Maintain accurate project documentation, prepare regular progress reports, and provide updates to senior management.
Experience and Skills Required
Proven experience in an operational role within the roofing industry, with a strong understanding of both pitched and flat roofing systems.
In-depth knowledge of project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
