Operations Manager

About The Role

As Operations Manager at GSF Car Parts, you are responsible for motivating and leading a team of Warehouse Operatives and Delivery Drivers. You will oversee warehouse processes and systems to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately, and that productivity targets are met.

Main Duties Include

1. Manage the organisation and performance to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Goods In, Goods Out, Returns, and Stock Control departments.
2. Pick and load van/carrier accurately for timely customer delivery when required.
3. Check stock quantities are correct against computer records.
4. Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective solutions to challenges and obstacles.
5. Ensure the operational functions of the Warehouse run smoothly and assist the branch manager with holidays/sickness cover, weekly planning, team development, and working with Drivers to ensure the best delivery service for customers.
6. Assist the General Manager with PARC report KPI's.
7. Create a positive and supportive environment where employees are valued and can reach their potential.

Working Hours

45 hours on average, Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working.

About You

You will have a proven track record of managing a warehouse, ideally within a fast-paced environment such as FMCG.

What You'll Need To Succeed

1. Warehouse/Operations Management experience.
2. Ability to motivate and lead a team.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Good planning and organisational skills.
5. Ability to work calmly under pressure.
6. Customer and sales focus.
7. Experience with MAM is desirable but not essential.
