Job summary

GSF Car Parts in the United Kingdom is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a team of Warehouse Operatives and Delivery Drivers. You will oversee goods in, goods out, returns and stock control to ensure accurate receiving and dispatch and to meet productivity targets.

This role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication to drive efficient operations. You will support the branch manager with holidays, planning, and developing the warehouse team, while ensuring excellent service for

Responsibilities

• Manage the organisation and performance to ensure smooth running of Goods In, Goods Out, Returns and Stock Control.
• Pick and load van/carrier accurately for timely customer delivery.
• Check stock quantities are correct against computer.
• Use personal judgment to develop effective solutions to challenges.
• Ensure warehouse operations run smoothly and assist branch manager with holidays, sickness cover, weekly planning, and team development.
• Assist General Manager with PARC report KPI's.
• Create a positive environment where employees are valued and can reach their potential.

Job description

As Operations Manager at GSF Car Parts, you are responsible for motivating and leading a team of Warehouse Operatives and Delivery Drivers. As Operations Manager, you will oversee the warehouse processes and systems in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately, and that productivity targets are met. Main Duties include:

• Manage the organisation and performance to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Goods In, Goods Out, Returns and Stock Control departments
• Pick and load van / carrier accurately for timely customer delivery when required
• Check stock quantities are correct against computer
• Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles
• Ensure the operational functions of the Warehouse run smoothly and assist the branch manager with; holidays/sickness cover, preparing weekly plans, developing the warehouse team and work with Drivers to ensure the best delivery service for customers.
• Assist the General Manager with PARC report KPI's
• Create a positive and supportive environment where employees are valued and can reach their true potential

As Operations Manager, you will have a great track record of managing a warehouse, ideally gained within a fast-paced environment such as FMCG.

Working hours: 45 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working.
