A healthcare practice in Lancashire is seeking an Operations Manager to join their management team. The successful applicant will support the Practice Manager in leading a team to maintain high standards in service delivery. The role requires excellent communication, managerial skills, and relevant experience in a healthcare setting. Offering a salary between £35,000 and £37,000 per year, the position promises a dynamic work environment.

The individual will also need to be able to produce work of a high standard and work effectively and efficiently under pressure whilst remaining calm.
To support the Practice Manager in all aspects of practicefunctionality, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and overallperformance, ensuring the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectivesin a safe and effective working environment.
To manage and coordinate all aspects of practice functionality,motivating and managing staff, patient services, premises and health and safetymanagement.
Throughinnovative ways of working, support the Practice Manager leading the team in promotingequality and diversity, Safety Health Environment and Fire, quality andcontinuous improvement, confidentiality, collaborative working, servicedelivery, learning and development and ensuring the practice complies with CQCregulations.
Our well established and well respected practice is currently running across three sites with over 15,000 patients supported by a very experienced clinical and administrative team.
Thefollowing are the core responsibilities of the Operations Manager. There maybe, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependentupon factors such as workload and staffing levels.
The OperationsManager is responsible for:
a.Supportingthe Practice Manager in the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuringstaff achieve their primary responsibilities.
b.Providingleadership and guidance to all staff ensuring that they adhere to policy andprocedure at all times.
c.Overseeingthe administrative elements of QOF / LES, liaising with GPs, nursing staff andadministrators
d.Implementingsystems to ensure compliance with CQC regulations and standards
e.Reviewingand regularly updating job descriptions and person specifications ensuring allstaff are legally and gainfully employed
f.Actingas the lead for recruitment including pre-employment checks and DBS
g.Evaluating,organising and overseeing the staff induction programme
h.Implementingand embedding an effective staff appraisal process
i.Implementingand embedding an effective practice and staff development plan for all staff(clinical and administrative) whilst maintaining a robust training record
j.Implementingeffective systems for the resolution of disciplinary and grievance issues,maintaining an overview of staff welfare
k.Leadingthe management of the clinical system, ensuring IT security and IG complianceat all times and responding to and resolving all local IT issues
l.Activelyencouraging and promoting the use of patient online services
m.Updatingand acting as the focal point for the practice website and social media sites
n.Guidingstaff and developing searches and audits on the clinical system
o.Reviewingand updating clinical templates ensuring they relate to current practice
p.Marketingthe practice appropriately to ensure patient population is stable or increasing
q.Managingcontracts for and highlighting issues with services i.e., cleaning, gardening,window cleaning etc.
r.Guidingthe team to reach QOF / LES targets (supported by the nursing andadministrative leads)
s.Ensuringthe staff implement the practice wide approach to the management of all patientservices matters
t.ManagingDNAs, providing data and planning tools coupled with liaison with referredrepeat offenders
