Job description

Hybrid: 3 Days in the Office and 2 Days Remote

Our client is seeking an excellence-driven Operations Manager to lead production, logistics, delivery, and customer experience teams. You will inspire your teams to deliver a seamless journey from sale to delivery, ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction.

With a passion for operational efficiency and a strategic vision for growth, you will drive system improvements to enhance productivity and accuracy. Collaborating closely with marketing, merchandising, and sales, you will help the business excel. As part of the senior leadership team, you will advocate for the customer and represent Operations in key strategic decisions.

Operations Manager Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), maintaining high standards and addressing any performance gaps.
  2. Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring key initiatives are delivered efficiently.
  3. Develop and implement operational strategies that align with business objectives and support future growth.
  4. Identify potential risks within production and establish mitigation plans.
  5. Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and maintain appropriate fabric stock levels.
  6. Regularly assess pricing structures, adjusting in response to changes in material and labour costs to maintain profitability.
  7. Support the Warehouse Manager in ensuring smooth order processing and accurate stock management.
  8. Manage the After Sales team, ensuring an exceptional customer experience post-purchase.
  9. Supervise the production team, optimising workflows and coordinating supplier orders.
  10. Oversee the Sample Fulfilment Team, ensuring stock is well-managed and replenished as needed.
  11. Establish a scalable team structure to accommodate business expansion.
  12. Conduct one-to-one meetings and performance reviews, setting clear objectives and development plans.
  13. Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment with strong accountability.
  14. Identify skill gaps within the team and arrange relevant training opportunities.
  15. Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment regulations.
  16. Leverage data and customer feedback to enhance processes and service delivery.
  17. Continuously identify ways to improve production efficiency, reduce lead times, and streamline fulfilment.
  18. Ensure warehouse and delivery operations comply with health and safety standards.
  19. Enable showrooms to manage their sample stock effectively.
  20. Oversee the fulfilment of sample requests, ensuring timely dispatch within agreed SLAs.
  21. Implement quality control processes to maintain brand standards and regulatory compliance.
  22. Maximise the effectiveness of the CRM system, reducing manual errors and inefficiencies.
  23. Review existing workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing scalable solutions.
  24. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate systems for a seamless user experience.
  25. Work alongside senior leadership to forecast operational needs and allocate resources effectively.
  26. Evaluate supplier costs annually to ensure competitive pricing and healthy profit margins.
  27. Update pricing structures across all SKUs and coordinate website updates accordingly.
  28. Develop and oversee discount pricing strategies for promotional periods.
  29. Conduct financial analysis to refine pricing models and optimise profitability.
