Position: Operations Manager

Contract Type: Permanent – 45 hours per week

Location: Glasgow G32 8NB

Shift: Days (Monday - Friday)

About the role:

The purpose of this role is to run the day-to-day operation of the warehouse effectively and efficiently, working collaboratively with Service Partners and employed staff. The role involves motivating, coaching, and developing shift managers to achieve the highest quality standards in all areas of operation.

The main aim is to achieve excellence in service standards and to liaise with the Site/Area Manager to ensure KPIs and minimum standards are met in line with company targets and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a thorough understanding of warehouse operations to ensure service levels are achieved.
• Ensure employees are regularly briefed according to company communications and strategy.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and KPIs, upholding high standards across all business areas.
• Manage employee performance and conduct performance reviews in accordance with company procedures.
• Monitor cost performance, ensuring expenses align with targets and staffing levels.
• Ensure adherence to guidelines regarding timekeeping, attendance, work performance, and appearance.
• Plan, forecast, and monitor staffing against productivity needs to ensure adequate resources.
• Perform any other duties reasonably required or instructed by the Site/Area Manager.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Shift management experience in the parcel industry
• Experience leading a team of at least 12 members
• Experience with statistical analysis and data processing
• Proficiency in relevant computer systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in line with Data Protection Regulations
