Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager, you will be a member of the Senior Management Team and involved in the running of KOKI Group UK Ltd, the UK distributor of Metabo and HiKOKI power tools. You are individually responsible for the warehouse and service departments and will have a real opportunity to be involved with key decisions that will drive the organisation towards its growth targets.

  1. Responsible for the effective, efficient, safe, and clean operation (input, storage, and output) of the warehouse and service departments for both the Metabo and HiKOKI brands, significantly influencing the achievement of monthly sales targets.
  2. Managing the warehouse team (five members) and service team (three members), including monitoring performance and supporting their development.
  3. Acting as the Health & Safety Officer for both companies, ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at the highest level.
  4. Overseeing main contracts affecting warehouse operations, including logistics (carriage in and out), waste management, and recycling.
  5. Managing relationships with third-party inventory storage providers.
  6. Ensuring the accuracy of inventory records and compliance with periodic activity requirements of the finance IT system.
  7. Previous experience of at least three years in a similar role.
  8. IT literate with proficient use of WMS, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  9. Excellent communication skills with a professional manner, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and outsourced resources.
  10. Strong commercial and business awareness.
  11. Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions, prioritize, and multitask.
  12. Adaptable, proactive, and able to take initiative.
  13. Tenacious, flexible, and a team player.
  14. Robust problem-solving skills.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Previous experience with Microsoft Navision.
