Are you an experienced and hands-on warehouse leader ready to take charge of a dynamic operation? We are seeking a proactive Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy, fast-paced warehouse in a well-established, independent company.

This pivotal role involves managing a diverse team, ensuring efficient stock handling and order fulfilment, maintaining a safe and well-organised facility, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee goods-in, order picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
  • Manage inventory accuracy and warehouse layout for optimal flow.
  • Lead and motivate warehouse operatives, supervisors, and drivers.
  • Set and track KPIs such as OTIF and picking accuracy.
  • Coordinate deliveries and liaise with internal teams and drivers.
  • Uphold health & safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives and operational improvements.

What You'll Need

  • 5 years in warehouse/logistics management, ideally in B2B or wholesale.
  • Proven track record of team leadership and KPI delivery.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse systems.
  • Health & Safety knowledge (IOSH/NEBOSH advantageous).
  • Hands-on approach and proactive leadership style.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and valid UK driving licence.
  • Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach).
  • Background in catering supply, FMCG, or hospitality sectors.
  • Experience with sustainability in warehouse settings.
