Job summary

Emerson in Cumbernauld is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a high-performing manufacturing operation. You will oversee end-to-end execution to meet safety, quality and delivery commitments while cultivating an inclusive, collaborative culture.

You will champion continuous improvement, coach their teams, and align manufacturing with supply chain priorities, ensuring effective production planning across value streams and reliable equipment performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years experience leading manufacturing or operations teams in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, performance metrics, and delivery commitments.
  • Proven ability to lead through others, including layered team structures.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a focus on sustainable improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement approaches such as lean or similar methodologies.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Experience with structured continuous improvement approaches (e.g., TPM, 5S, or equivalent)
  • Understanding of safety, quality, and operational performance frameworks
  • Background in engineering, operations, or supply chain disciplines
