Job Title: Operations Manager - New Store Openings

Department: Retail Operations

Location: EMEA

Reports To: Field Operations Director

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

As the Operations Manager for New Store Openings, you will lead the end-to-end execution of new Retail, Concession and Wholesale openings, renovations and closures across the EMEA region. You’ll be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and ensuring operational readiness for each opening. This role is pivotal in delivering a seamless launch experience that reflects our brand standards and sets each store up for long-term success

Main Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of new store openings, renovations and closures, from planning to post-launch review
  • Collaborating with all internal and external stakeholders keeping them accountable and informed via (Team Project Planner) of expectations, files, trackers etc to ensure alignment and timely completion
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and results

Operational and Customer Readiness:

  • Ensure all operational elements (staffing, training, inventory, systems, compliance) are in place prior to opening
  • Liaise with VP Retail on brand expectations for customer communication and events leading up to and post opening, working with Marketing and Ecom teams to build excitement and customer events in-line with brand expectations
  • Ensure all licenses required for trading are initiated then handed over with clarity

Store Team Support:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for store teams during the pre-opening phase, providing guidance and support
  • Focus on preparing the store team to operate as brand experts from minute one
  • Work with the District Manager to create the schedule for opening weeks and post-opening

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously refine and improve the new store opening checklist and review process based on learnings and feedback
  • Keep tracker of missed opportunities for each project and carry out a post-opening review call/meeting with all stakeholders for all projects with focus on future project opportunities to improve
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience in retail operations, store openings, or project management
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel as required
BAU Tasks and Day-to-day Process
  • Receive H/O from RE
  • Meet VP Retail/President to understand expectations
  • Kick-off project with all stakeholders
  • Oversee design of store coordinating with relevant departments
  • Host regular progress meetings to update each area
  • Work with DM and Ops Mgr to create trading schedule
  • Plan for effective opening project week(s) for optimum efficiency
