Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking an experienced Operations Manager in Cambridge to own and optimise manufacturing operations within a high-tech, engineered-product environment. You will drive performance, develop people and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

The role requires leadership of cross-functional teams, a strong track record in Lean and operational excellence, and a focus on safety, quality and delivery to meet customer demand and business goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing or operations leadership.
• Experience managing teams within high-mix or engineered-product manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of operational KPIs and performance management.
• Track record of delivering Lean, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

You’ll play a key role in driving operational performance, developing people, and creating a culture of continuous improvement.

Main Duties:

• Lead and develop high-performing manufacturing teams
• Own day-to-day operations across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory, and cost
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
• Improve processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, and Commercial teams
• Identify operational risks and implement sustainable solutions
• Ensure production capability aligns with customer demand and business objectives

What we’re looking for:
