Location: Oasis Academy Brightstowe, Shirehampton, Bristol

Salary: OCL SCP 25 - 29 (35,235 - 38,626 FTE)

Contract: Full Time / All Year Round (37 hours per week)

Holiday: 34 days (26 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays)

The Role

This is an exciting on-site opportunity for a committed and skilled Operations Manager to oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the Academy. You will manage areas including Health & Safety, Data Protection, and act as the key interface between the Academy and its PFI Partners (Bristol City Council and BAM). You will also liaise with the national Oasis services across IT, Finance, People, Property & Estates, and Marketing & Communications.

Your leadership will directly support the delivery of high-quality education by ensuring that our operational functions run smoothly, safely, and in line with all statutory and organisational standards.

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and build strong working relationships
  • Have recent experience of working within an educational setting
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety and Data Protection legislation
  • Show confidence in guiding and supporting others with professionalism
  • Be a proactive team player who thrives in fast-paced environments
  • Have experience of supervising or line managing within a service-oriented organisation (desirable)
  • Be a competent IT user with strong skills in Microsoft Office and digital systems
  • Have a track record of coordinating projects and managing conflicting priorities under pressure
  • Demonstrate emotional resilience and a calm, solution-focused approach
  • Be willing to model and support the Oasis ethos and values
