We’re seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to join our team at a dynamic high-hazard, upper-tier COMAH chemical manufacturing site in Bradford. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a vital role in shaping and delivering the site’s strategic and operational goals. Be part of a team where your expertise drives impact, safety, and innovation.
This role leads one of our two major production hubs, taking ownership of day-to-day operations, driving performance, and ensuring excellence across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.
What You’ll Do
Safety & Compliance - Champion a positive safety culture, ensure full EHS compliance, lead incident investigations, and liaise with HSE/EA for audits and inspections.
Operational Excellence - Oversee production processes, deliver performance targets, and manage plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and start-ups efficiently and safely.
Team Leadership - Build and lead a skilled, motivated operations team. Set clear goals, drive accountability, and foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Strategic & Financial Input - Contribute to site strategy, support budget and CAPEX planning, and manage operational expenditure (OPEX).
