Job summary

Component Process & Repair Limited, based in Bognor Regis, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead gas turbine component repair production. You will oversee monthly and annual outputs, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with customers for delivery updates.

The role requires strong planning, financial controls and the ability to mentor up to 20 staff, ensuring health and safety compliance and adherence to quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience managing manufacturing/engineering operations.
• Proven track record of reducing lead-time while improving quality.
• Strong planning and budgeting with KPI reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual sales output.
• Drive continuous improvement in 5S programs.
• Liaise with customers for weekly delivery updates.
• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly output schedules.
• Analyze operational KPIs to drive improvement.
• Manage stock control and levels.
• Own consumables expenditure within budgets.
• Mentor up to 20 direct operational staff.
• Report operations metrics at monthly meetings.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions and QC procedures.
• Ensure Health and Safety systems and controls are followed.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly and annual sales output
• Ability to lead continuous improvement in our 5'S programs
• Liaison with customers to provide weekly updates on delivery
• Organising and planning the daily, weekly, and monthly output plans
• Analysis of operational KPI's to ensure a culture of continuous improvement
• Managing stock control and stock levels
• Responsible for all consumable expenditure within agreed budgets
• Ability to manage, control and mentor up to 20 off direct operational staff.
• To compile and report at monthly management meetings all operational measurements and KPI's.
• To ensure all activities are in compliance with working instructions and our quality control procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring Production Staff comply with all Health and Safety Systems and Controls.

Ideal Candidate

Ideally will have worked and managed within a Gas Turbine Repair environment, although experience as an operations Manager in Manufacturing / Engineering environment would be considered.

• Ability to improve our manufacturing and processes
• Proven track record in reducing lead-time, whilst increasing quality.
• Project and planning experience
• Commercially aware with a proficient level of financial controls
• Experience in interfacing with the direct end customer

We are currently working with a gas turbine repair and overhaul company in Bognor Regis. Due to ambitious expansion plans they are now recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team.
