Job summary

Connect Church Cornwall in Wadebridge seeks a Church Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations, reporting to the Minister and Leadership Team. The role covers financial management, buildings and facilities, governance and policy, technology, HR and church administration to support outreach and community engagement.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven record of effective financial management, strong administration, and excellent communication to build relationships

Qualifications

• Proven track record in financial management with ability to produce budgets, cashflow statements and financial reports.
• Strong administration skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and team-working abilities.
• Awareness of Charity Commission reporting, Employment Law and Data Protection would be advantageous.

Connect Church Cornwall are looking to appoint to the key role of Church Operations Manager and are looking for the right person to come and join our senior team, based in Wadebridge, on the North Cornwall coast.

This role supports the Minister and the Leadership team by running the day-to-day operations of the Church. This is a broad and varied role which covers Financial Management, Buildings and Facilities, Governance and Policy, Technology, HR, and Church Administration.

Applications are also welcomed from candidates who would consider the role on a job share basis. In this case our intention would be to split the role between the financial and other operational aspects.

The role needs someone with a proven record of effective financial management, with the ability to produce budgets, cashflow statements and financial reports. As well as the ability to problem solve and organise effectively, they should possess strong administration skills. They should also work well as part of a team and have excellent communication skills in order to build relationships with the congregation, and the wider community. An awareness of the reporting requirements of the Charity Commission, Employment Law and Data Protection would also be advantageous.

Online Interviews are scheduled for early November, if successful at this stage the applicant/s will be asked to come for an in-person interview with the opportunity to meet members of the leadership team, and be shown around the church/area.
