As the Operations Manager, you will oversee, streamline, and optimise our operational processes, lead a talented team, and ensure we deliver results for our clients. This role is crucial to the growth and success of our organisation, requiring a blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution.

You will be a motivated Operations Manager with the ability to think strategically and align operational strategies with the company’s goals. You will work collaboratively across departments and levels within the organisation, with a proactive approach focused on achieving results and meeting deadlines.

This role requires a professional who can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.

Operational Oversight
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with various departments for seamless operational integration.
Process Improvement
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics to drive efficiencies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the operations team to achieve organisational goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
Project Management
  • Oversee multiple projects, defining scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with project teams for successful execution.
Financial Management
  • Develop and manage operational budgets for cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost controls.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Valid UK Driving Licence

  • Proven experience in managing people and client relationships

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in MS Office; ERP system knowledge is an advantage

  • Good health and safety knowledge
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Utility/Contractor business working with LV/HV/EHV apparatus
