Operations Manager

Support the Site Manager in growing a profitable recovery and treatment operation, ensuring compliance with SHEQ standards and permit conditions. Oversee daily plant operations, working with internal teams and third parties to maintain safe and efficient performance. Help drive a positive safety culture and prepare the business for future growth.

Your Core Responsibilities.

1. Develop a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
2. Support the Site Manager in achieving budget targets and driving future growth.
3. Work with Engineering and third-party suppliers to maintain performance and compliance.
4. Lead and support staff development while improving employee engagement.
5. Monitor site performance and implement cost-effective improvements.
6. Review weekly costs to ensure value for money across services and products.
7. Collaborate with commercial teams to manage input/output quality and customer care.
8. Lead or support site projects and ensure training and statutory inspections are delivered effectively.

Requirements

Our essential requirements.

1. COTC Level 4 and IOSH Safety for Managers (NEBOSH Certificate preferred or willingness to train).
2. Proven management experience in high-pressure, target-driven environments.
3. Strong understanding of ISO standards, auditing, and compliance.
4. Experience in the waste industry or highly regulated sectors.
5. Skilled in leading multidisciplinary teams and navigating complex internal policies.
