Job summary

Handley James Consulting Ltd is recruiting an Operations Manager to lead the division's end-to-end operations in the UK. You will drive production, maintenance, safety and service, reporting to the UK Managing Director and guiding growth strategy.

The role requires experience in process-based manufacturing and managing multi-disciplined teams. A visible leader with a people- and process-led approach is essential, with progression opportunities in a global organisation.

Job description

We have been retained by our client to recruit an Operations Manager for a division of their UK business.

As a result of a revised growth strategy, our client is now looking for an Operations Manager to drive the growth strategy for this division.

This role will report into the UK MD and will be responsible for driving the operational efficiency of the division. You will take full responsibility for the end-to-end operations which will include production, maintenance, safety and service.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading a multidisciplined team
• Operational performance
• Maintenance effectiveness
• Service delivery
• Cost Management

An experienced Operations professional, you will have experience in process-based manufacturing; chemical, food, plastic, industrial building products or water treatment would be ideal. You will be experienced in leading multi disciplined teams including production, maintenance, supply chain and safety functions. You will be quality focussed, improvement led and proven in managing multiple priorities. A confident leader, you will be both people and process led.
