Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a senior Cluster Leader to guide a large data center organization, setting strategic direction while hands-on leading a team of department heads responsible for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

You will drive safety culture, capacity planning, and optimization across multiple facilities, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and local authorities while championing diversity and inclusion across the regional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent engineering science.
• Experience leading large teams, with demonstrable ability to hire, develop, and manage high-performing technical teams.
• Experience with hiring, promoting, performance management, and developing teams of professional construction/engineering staff.

The Cluster Leader is one of our most senior management roles in the data center environment. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a large organization, managing department heads who own data center facility infrastructure including the operational availability of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The pace, scale, and growth of Amazon’s data center platform will challenge you. Our uncompromisingly high standards as we continually seek to innovate on behalf of our customers will push you to new levels of creativity.

At this level, Amazon is unique in that we seek experienced senior leaders who have evolved to be highly strategic in their approach to managing their business unit, yet understand how to lead large teams by example who will not hesitate to roll up their sleeves when tactical needs dictate it.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience of leading large organizations, with data center experience not required to be successful in this role.

Basic Qualifications
