Job Title: Operations Leader

Location: Funeral Hubs in Suffolk (travel required)

Salary: £37,549 per annum

Hours: Full-time, flexible working (including outside of standard business hours)

Contract Type: Permanent

Reporting to: Head of Funeral

About the Role

Do you have the leadership skills to guide teams through one of life’s most important moments? We’re looking for an Operations Leader to join our Funeral Services team at the East of England Co-op.

This role carries responsibility for leading Funeral Directors, and Operatives across multiple hubs. You’ll ensure the highest standards of care and professionalism for our clients while supporting colleagues in a sensitive and rewarding environment.

With accountability for people, facilities, vehicles, and performance, you’ll balance operational excellence with compassion, ensuring every service reflects our values and commitment to the community.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and develop teams to deliver exemplary funeral services.
• Create a supportive and inclusive culture that prioritises colleague well-being.
• Manage budgets and resources to deliver strong performance.
• Drive operational improvements, compliance, and service excellence.
• Build strong relationships with clients, communities, and internal partners.
• Ensure facilities and vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.
• Act as the key decision-maker for your hub while supporting change initiatives.
