Job Description:

St. Mary’s, Ambleside is looking for a strategic, organised, and faith-filled Operations Lead to help a growing church run smoothly and sustainably. This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of a fresh vision, enabling ministry and mission through effective systems, volunteer leadership, and team coordination.

You’ll lead on day-to-day operations including HR, safeguarding, building management, governance, events, and comms – all while helping to shape a strong, prayerful culture. You'll oversee our buildings in Ambleside and Langdale, support fundraising efforts, and help develop tools like ChurchSuite to streamline how we work.

We’re forming a new team including a Worship Leader and Children & Families Lead, and working closely with Ambleside Parish Centre to serve the wider community. You’ll be involved in communicating vision, supporting Sunday worship, and helping small groups and outreach thrive.

This is an exciting chance to shape how a church works behind the scenes so that ministry on the front lines can flourish.

Full time hours per week.

Salary £32,000 - £34,000 per annum + 8% pension
