Job description

MyPocketSkill is an AI-empowered, award-winning platform that helps Gen Z individuals become more financially capable and employable. We connect 13-25 year-olds with opportunities to earn money and provide AI-assisted upskilling, learning, and financial education. Our innovations have been recognized through awards such as Lloyds Launch and Santander X 100.

This is a vital role that involves working closely with the founders, focusing on problem-solving and removing barriers to progress.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Refining and improving operational processes, supporting customer engagement and product development
  2. Addressing platform issues through deeper problem-solving, including customer complaints and payment issues
  3. Enhancing team HR, office management, and meeting coordination
  4. Managing delivery for key projects, including collaborations with high street banks and grant awards

Requirements:

  1. Flexible, proactive self-starter capable of making autonomous decisions in a fast-paced environment
  2. 4+ years of operational experience, preferably in a startup or small business, or transferable skills in this area
  3. Strong process and analytical skills with a bias for action and comfort with data
  4. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  6. High attention to detail and accuracy
  7. Reliable with strong follow-through
  8. Curious and always seeking process improvements
  9. Team player who can collaborate and also own tasks independently

Good to have:

  1. A relevant degree related to operations
  2. Technologically adept with problem-solving and analytical skills
  3. Experience in process improvement or operational optimization
  4. Experience in a startup or scale-up environment

Salary: £30k - £35k, dependent on qualifications and experience, with potential for equity.

Core Hours: 40 hours/week, with flexible days/hours by agreement. Part-time options may be considered.

  • Hybrid working—2-3 days a week in our London office (Clerkenwell)
