Job summary

Nutanix in Luton is seeking undergraduates heading toward a 2:1 in a related discipline for a QMS-focused internship. Based at our Luton plant, you will contribute to quality investigations and audits while gaining hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing.

You will learn how to apply quality tools, collect metrics, and shadow Quality Test Technicians to understand hardware testing. July 2027 start dates and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a minimum 2:1 in a related discipline.
• Strong communication and networking skills are required.
• Must have legal right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Quality Team to understand how the QMS for controlled documents is used, maintained and controlled.
• Learn to conduct process audits of key electronic manufacturing areas to ensure standards are met.
• Use quality tools and standards to deliver assurance at a top-tier electronics manufacturing plant.
• Carry out quality investigations, identify root causes, and implement prevention and corrective actions.
• Collect metrics related to Quality to monitor product and department performance.
• Shadow Quality Test Technicians to understand electronics hardware testing and fault finding at component level.
• Write quality reports using on-the-job training and methodologies learned.

What you’ll do:"Candidates will be:• Undergraduates working towards a minimum of a 2:1 in a related discipline (mandatory, below this you won`t be considered)• Based at our Luton plant in Bedfordshire.• Ready to start in July 2027• Have legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom without company sponsorship and where appropriate comply with ITAR regulations (we do not sponsor any type of visa for this internship)""General Duties:• work with a team of diverse people• contribute and lead real business projects• build relationships with our extended cohort of students that are located across the UK• enhance your skills through on-the-job training and external workshopsDay to Day Duties:• Working within the Quality Team to understand how the QMS (Quality Management System) for controlled documents is used, maintained and most importantly controlled.• Learning to conduct process audits of key electronic manufacturing areas ensuring all standards are being met and followed.• Using Quality tools and standards to deliver assurance at top tier standard electronics manufacturing plant.• Carrying out under guidance Quality investigations, their root causes, resolve, prevention and assurance to the customer.• Collecting metrics relating to Quality and the department, understanding how they are analysed and how they are used to monitor the performance of the products we build and our department.• Shadowing our Quality Test Technicians- Understanding how Electronics hardware testing is done and fault finding down to component level is undertaken.• Writing up quality reports using tools and methodology learnt during the training.
