Operations Insights and Automation Analyst

Permanent, Full time: 35 hours per week

Salary: £28,850- £34,000 DOE + benefits package

Home based in England, Scotland or Wales with occasional national travel

About the role

The Operations Insights and Automation Analyst will play a key role in transforming operational performance through data-driven insights and automation. This role is responsible for analysing operational data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and presenting findings in a clear and actionable format. The postholder will also identify and implement automation opportunities using low-code/no-code Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, the analyst will support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll be doing
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret operational data to support performance monitoring, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and lead low-code/no-code automation (RPA) implementations.
  • Collaborate with operational teams and SMEs to understand business needs and deliver data-driven and automated solutions.
  • Work with IT, analysts, and delivery teams to improve systems and support key initiatives.
  • Provide data analysis, modelling, and reporting to support project delivery and strategic decisions.
  • Monitor and refine automation and data tools, ensuring integrity, compliance, and alignment with new technologies.
What we’re looking for
  • Proficient in data analysis, with strong abilities in data cleansing, transformation, and validation
  • Relevant professional certifications, e.g. Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • Experience with data management tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, UiPath, Zapier, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present data findings and risk assessments clearly
Other skills which would be desirable however not needed to apply for the role
  • Experience of working within education and/or vocational learning and training
  • Experience in data quality or data management
  • At least Level 3 Qualification in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related discipline

Remote/home based working at Enginuity

Your working hours will be 35 per week, working 9am until 5pm with a 1 hour lunch.

As a home-based employee you will fulfil your job responsibilities from home. Interactions with work and colleagues will be from a virtual environment. Depending on your role you will be required to either have some occasional travel or UK national travel. This travel will be required to allow you to fulfil different parts of your role and to meet colleagues on a quarterly basis. Other meetings that might require you to travel are events such as all colleague away days, training, and project work. Please review the advert to gain this insight to how much travel is expected. Also, ask at interview stage to confirm the frequency of travel and distance.

The company will provide you with the IT equipment required to carry out your role but it is a requirement that you provide all the necessary facilities for working from home; including broadband, home office, desk and chair.
