Operations Inbound Coordinator

Due to our continued success, we are expanding and looking for a talented Operations Inbound Coordinator to join our team.

Your Role

You are an Operations Inbound Coordinator, responsible for the short-term (up to 3 months visibility) planning and purchasing activities. This candidate must have strong communication skills and maintain a clear line of communication internally and externally, resulting in optimized customer service, plan execution and inventory targets. Your main responsibilities will be to issue purchase orders, ensure POs are on track though to delivery, communicating with vendors and ensuring accurate inventory levels in a complex contract manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

1. Recommend, issue and track purchase orders for components, filling & finished goods
2. Maintain full visibility of purchase orders and track through to delivery
3. Own supplier relationship; point of contact & weekly open orders calls
4. Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations on components at supplier locations
5. Analyze and report monthly on excess, obsolete and discontinued
6. Partner with Logistics to ensure timely inbound delivery of POs via air, ocean & trucks
7. Develop logistics requirements (specifications) with suppliers
8. Liaise with Demand Planning and warehouse management team to ensure that stock is available to be allocated accordingly
9. Initiate and drive lead-time improvement and agility projects
10. Create and revise part numbers and bills of materials as necessary
11. Create reports and other tools to provide visibility on all inventory locations
12. Assist in price reviews and negotiations
13. Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies
14. Communicate and escalate risks to cross-functional teams
15. Prepare clear and direct reports to Senior Management when appropriate

Hours of work: Monday-Friday 9am-6pm. Fully in office, London based.
