The Recipe

We seek a key business partner, influencer, and advisor for our Manufacturing and Distribution teams on site, as well as a proactive member of the Operational finance team, contributing to our business strategy and Financial Framework.

Location: Tuscany Park, Wakefield, with responsibilities also in Stockton and Belshill. Travel between Tuscany and Stockton is required.

Our Tuscany Park facility, opened in 2005 near Wakefield Europort, features three high-speed, automated manufacturing plants producing products like Toastie, Farmhouse, Danish, Wholemeal, and sliced bread rolls.

We employ around 500 colleagues at Tuscany Park and 70 in our Howden depot, ensuring our freshly baked products reach customers across the UK daily. We are continuously growing with exciting innovations and investments.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified CIMA (or equivalent) accountant with at least 1 year post-qualification experience, preferably in FMCG
  • Proven experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders (financial and operational)
  • Ability to identify and influence cost-saving initiatives
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

Key Accountabilities and Measures

  • Business Partnering: Lead site finance, build relationships with manufacturing and distribution teams, and convert data into insights. Be a key member of the Site Leadership Team, maximizing the use of cost drivers and KPIs.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Drive performance improvements through insightful budgeting and forecasting, aligning site inputs with business strategy, and focusing on key cost areas.
  • Business-wide Projects: Lead or contribute proactively to finance and non-finance projects.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies and controls.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, and standards.
  • Productivity: Collaborate with site teams to identify and implement productivity initiatives.
  • Capital: Own the site capex process.
  • Lead for Growth: Manage and develop finance team members, support CPD, and foster site and team development.
