About the role

We have a new opportunity for a proactive and motivated individual to join as an Operations Finance Analyst as part of the Finance team. This is a fabulous chance for someone with a finance background or for someone with strong analytical skills looking to kickstart a career in the world of operational finance!

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our sites, supporting on queries, governance & cost control measures as well as partnering with the wider business teams on sharing best practices to streamline the analysis and decision-making processes. You will liaise with the Cashiers and Customer Services teams on a daily basis to mitigate business risk by managing order fulfilment and credit exposure. Working closing with the Operations Finance Manager, you will ensure the day to day and month-end processes are actioned smoothly. This will link in with the continuous reviewing of our site operational performance and providing the data and insight needed to challenge current processes and improve overall efficiencies

As well as the day to day – the successful candidate will be able to implement their own ideas to manage and improve the processes between our sites and Shared Service Centre. So, having a curious mindset, being able to challenge our current ways of working and having the confidence to back your ideas is actively encouraged here.

If you are from a finance or analytical background, with a desire to work in a fast-paced finance role and have great communication skills – then we might be looking for you!

About you

  • Undergraduate university qualification or equiv - ideally finance/accounting but not essential

  • Part qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or qualified through experience – desirable

  • Motivation to complete a professional qualification

  • Strong IT & Excel skills

  • Proactive and solution focused

  • Able to work independently but also comfortable building strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders around the business

  • A positive and can-do attitude

  • Strong organisational skills with proven ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time

Location : This is a hybrid role, with 4 days at our Blunham or Kettering site and 1 day from home – however flexibility will be required at busy times and there may be occasional travel to other sites
