Within the Analytical Instruments Group, the Material and Structural Analysis Division is seeking an Equipment and Tooling Engineer specializing in precision parts and high-tech production equipment.

In Eindhoven, The Netherlands, the Equipment Engineering team designs, implements and maintains equipment and tools for production.

Mission: Our mission is to craft, manufacture, and sell industry-leading microscopes that enable groundbreaking work in fields such as drug development, battery materials, and semiconductor miniaturization. We seek a professional and passionate candidate driven by technology and the challenge of maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, source, and implement tools and equipment vital for production to ensure efficient production flow and high-quality tooling.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Technical Product Documentation (TPD), Bills of Materials (BOM), Maintenance Plans, and Work Instructions.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for production teams, provide support for new equipment requests or design changes.
  • Address and resolve mechanical and process-related issues with production equipment to reduce downtime and increase overall equipment efficiency.
  • Support or lead NPI projects according to Product Management Process (PMP) and multi-functional Operations improvement projects
  • Contribute to production, quality and supply chain processes, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a high-tech production environment, preferably in tooling and equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with Lean techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and creating technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with NX (formerly known as Unigraphics) and Teamcenter.
  • Proactive approach with excellent communication and social skills.
  • Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
