Job summary

Ten Human Resources, a UK manufacturer of aluminium glazing systems, seeks an ambitious Operations Director reporting to the Owner to drive strategic and operational development. You will lead day-to-day operations and scale the business from £30m to £50m turnover, building high-performing teams and implementing robust processes.

The role requires hands-on leadership with a track record in engineering and manufacturing, strong commercial awareness, and a passion for lean improvements.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience within engineering, manufacturing, or high-volume production environments.
• Proven record of scaling manufacturing operations and managing growth.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies to support growth from £30m to £50m turnover.
• Oversee day-to-day business operations in collaboration with the Owner.
• Lead and develop manufacturing, engineering, production, supply chain, quality, logistics, and continuous improvement teams.
• Drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Implement scalable systems, structures and processes for growth.
• Mentor senior management teams across the business.
• Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee capacity planning, investments, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and environmental controls.
• Contribute to strategic direction and succession planning.
