Operations Director - Industrial Products

Greater Manchester

Our client (T/O c.£15m) has been producing high quality engineered products for over 100 years and has customers across the globe.

From a manufacturing facility to the north of Manchester, the channels to market include distributors, OEMs and direct, with the products used in a variety of sectors which include power transmission & materials handling.

This role reports in to the Managing Director and will offer potential for career advancement within the wider group organisation.

The Job

The role holder takes ownership of managing and leading all operational aspects of the business and supports continuous improvement and adherence to HS&E processes.

Responsible for evaluating the business operational strategy and opportunities to drive competitive advantage through safe and efficient use of resources and implementation of new technologies.

Leading Operational Team performance towards a high performing team culture, embracing coaching, performance management, talent management, employee engagement and all aspects of operational excellence to provide industry leading customer service levels.

The Candidate
  1. Degree qualified in Engineering/Manufacturing or similar disciplines, or equivalent industrial experience.
  2. Minimum of 10 years operations experience within a manufacturing environment with extensive man management skills/experience.
  3. Experience within an engineering production environment with CNC machinery is preferable. Strong appreciation of 18001, ISO9001, ISO14001.
