Via Match Limited is partnering with a well-established organisation to hire an Operations Data Scientist. You will apply data science, ML and analytics to improve operational performance and deliver measurable value.

This early-career role offers real ownership, strong stakeholder exposure and hybrid work in Milton Keynes. Competitive salary £45,000–£53,000 with bonus and benefits, plus one day a week in the office.

Qualifications

• Up to around two years' experience in a data science role.
• Hands-on Python and SQL experience.
• Experience with Power BI and dashboards.
• Strong analytical and storytelling skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own defined data science use cases from start to finish: framing, exploration, modeling, validation, implementation and monitoring.
• Apply statistical modelling and ML techniques to operational challenges using Python and SQL.
• Build and evaluate predictive, forecasting, classification, or anomaly-detection models as appropriate.
• Investigate operational performance across data sources and turn findings into practical recommendations.
• Maintain and improve operational Power BI dashboards to support real decisions.
• Build trusted relationships with senior Operations stakeholders and influence decisions with evidence.
• Help shape the Operations Data Science roadmap by identifying high-value opportunities.
• Ensure data quality, model governance and reproducible work with audit trails.
